The new line - launched this week - is  called Renesans and was developed by Ms Youssef after relocating from Russia to New York. Her 'Super Vitalizer' natural face cream claims to combine in one product all of the most effective skin care ingredients. This and other products owe their origins to secrets passed down from generation to generation by her family in a Siberian village, she says.

'The Renesans New York skin care line is designed to utilize botanical oils and extracts to their fullest potential, while also containing the latest scientifically proven ingredients for skin care,' she said. 'It's a unique blend of east meets west. In Siberia, I was raised in a multi-generational family of herbalists and herbal medicine practitioners.

'My grandmother, a woman of extraordinary beauty, showed me at a young age how to use the power of oils and extracts of the local flora to care for my skin and enhance my own beauty. I'm pleased that after years in development, our company can share the skin care secrets of Siberia with American women nationwide.

'Best of all, our products will allow American women to streamline the number of products they use because ours are nutrient dense and contain the most effective ingredients in just one product.'

Ms Youssef's great grandfather was 'considered a shaman in his village for his knowledge of herbs, their healing power, and their connection to the forces of nature'. Her grandmother 'showed her how to use the power of the oils and extracts of local flora to care for her skin and enhance her beauty'.

After coming to the US, she believed American skin care products 'were not utilising botanical oils and extracts to their full potential'. She attained her New York State Cosmetology License in 2007 and began formulating her own line.

'I was born in Siberia, surrounded by the beauty of the wilderness, (and) my grandmother told me that everything we need in life grows from the ground and is at the tips of my fingers,' she said. 'She told me that our family had been using herbs and plants for generations and she promised to teach me what she learned from her mother, and her mother's mother, and so on.

'Watching her concocting herbs and using them on her face, body and hair, I wanted to get a secret pass into the mysterious world of what nature has to offer.'

Her grandmother taught her that stinging nettles were not to be scored but treasured: this was her 'first tip' on beauty secrets and it came when she was five years old. 'Due to a prior unfortunate personal encounter with this specimen, I already managed to build plenty of resentment toward this stinging, vicious plant,' she said.

'I had a hard time understanding what good it could possibly do for me. But I decided to trust my grandma. We put on gloves, and we carefully extracted the stinging nettle. We put the leaves and stems into boiling water, let it cool and then strained the infusion. Boiling the plant removes the sting while retaining the nourishing elements.

'My grandma put the infusion on my hair and let me run in the sun. Then she washed it off with rain water that she collected in a barrel. I remember how silky and shiny my hair was afterwards. It was so amazing that to this day I still use stinging nettle on my hair because nothing else works to such beautiful effect.

'Many years later, I decided to find out what it was about the stinging nettle plant that provided such luster to my hair. It turns out that this plant is rich in vitamins B, C and K and also plentiful in amino acids and iron, the deficiency of which has been linked to hair loss. Vitamins B, C and K help strengthen and condition hair. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein that is crucial to the growth of healthy strong hair.

'Ever since my grandma introduced me to the stinging nettle, my curiosity grew for how botanical herbs and extracts can be used to enhance my beauty. Fortunately, she had many more secrets to share.'

The new cream is a three-in-one product, say her company.

'Instead of needing three different skin care products - such as one for moisturizing and hydration, anti-aging, and activation, the Super Vitalizer face cream has a three-level synergistic formulation providing women with all three skin care benefits. CBD is actually really amazing for the wellness of modern skin conditions. In essence, there’s a reason why cannabis has been heralded for thousands of years as one of the greatest plant medicines on earth. It’s because there are very specific ways the compounds in the cannabis plant work to heal living tissue, including the human epidermis.

Interesting if the product is made in Russia (Siberia)...if not, there is no return on investment to Siberia.

A Renesans factory should be in Krasnoyarsk or Vladivostok....now very cheap with the low Ruble.
