Paris Hilton arrived on her first visit to Siberia to sign autographs at a shopping centre in Krasnoyarsk. Some of the autograph hunters - mainly a crowd of young people - seemed to know who she was. But not everyone.

'My friends said I was mad when they learned I was going to Siberia,' she explained, in unusually mild temperatures of minus 8C. 'I've never been here. They asked me to take lots of pictures - so I will be taking pictures of beautiful Siberians.'

On arrival she posted a picture of herself on Instagram captioned Winter Wonderland.

Her 21 year old boyfriend River seemed was excited visiting Siberia, revealing: 'Its really cool here! There is a lot of snow, and it is very cold!'

'Paris wasn't too talkative and after about an hour of signing autographs she waved goodbye to Siberians, getting quite modest applause back,' said one local news agency.

Evidently her visit was linked to the third anniversary of Iyn shopping centre which rolled out the red carpet for her. At the end of the session the organisers presenter her with a fur coat. Her visit was part of a business trip to Russia.
