The tourist's Russian partner managed to get safely to the shore.

A 28-strong rescue mission found the body of the Czech man 15 km downstream from the site of the accident. 

Sakha - also known as Yakutia - is Russia's largest republic and is becoming increasingly popular for ultimate adventure vacations. 

The dead man was wearing a wet suit and life jacket and the party was well equipped with safety equipment, it was reported citing the local branch of the Emergency Services Ministry. The Czech man was not named. His body was due to be flown Monday by Mi-8 helicopter to the regional capital, Yakutsk.
