Desperate search for girl, 14, missing in taiga near where boy, 15, found dead

Fears from bears and wolves in Tukhtetesky district of Krasnoyarsk region after girl got lost picking berries with mother.

Criminal police search squads, local police officers, and traffic police as well as locals are all hunting for the missing teenager

A huge search operation including police and volunteers is underway to find the missing girl Yana Tamocheva.

Her mother lost contacts with her as they were picking berries. 

Criminal police search squads, local police officers, and traffic police as well as locals are all hunting for the missing teenager.

A month ago Nikita Sosunkov, 15, went missing on June 22 when he left his relatives in the village of Dvinka, and cycled back to his home in the village of Oskarovka. 

Nikita took a 12-kilometre road through the taiga and went missing.

Two weeks later his body was found between Oskarovka and Dvinka villages. 

Wild animals were  discovered on the boy's body but it was unclear what caused his death.

A law enforcement spokesman said: 'It is too yet early to say if a bear or a different animal caused death.

'Investigative activities are being conducted.'
