Mayor of world's coldest city takes the Ice Bucket Challenge... in permafrost cave

Aisen Nikolaev is drenched by Khaarchaana - the Yakutian Snow Maiden - in minus 10C temperature.

Yakutsk Mayor transferred 30,000 roubles - about $800 - to the charity fund 'Celebration of Life' ('Prazdnik Zhizni'). Picture: Aisen Nikolaev

The water - also emptied over him by another princess called Winter - was full of ice from Russia's coldest region. The charity spectacle took place in the Kingdom of Permafrost - one of the tourist attractions in Yakutsk, capital of the Sakha Republic, the largest entity in the Russian Federation, a territory almost the size of India.

Mayor Nikolaev, 42, a married father of three, wore shorts and T-shirt in the sparkling ice-clad underground complex deep in a permafrost hill where the temperature is minus 10C. He transferred a sum of 30,000 roubles - about $800 - to the charity fund 'Celebration of Life' ('Prazdnik Zhizni'), which provides assistance to children suffering from cancer.

He challenged mayors of other major cities Magadan, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, asking them to do take the challenge 'in nearly same conditions'. He got the challenge from the head of the 'Young Professionals' initiative in the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Dmitry Peskov.

While these "challenges" are entertaining, they're a waste of time. That is, if they are searching for the "cures" for cancer. The causes, cures and prevention for all most all cancers are known. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which has made this ice bucket nonsense popular, is simply a cholesterol deficiency. Cholesterol is vital to your body and the people 'at the top' know this. They have gotten the population to willingly compromise their own health. This is your reward. ALS is a dietician, physician and pharmaceutical caused disease.

Do you want to cure, Alzheimer's, Lou Gehrigs, ALS and similar? All you have to do is get ample cholesterol in your diet. And if you're eating natural foods, you don't have to worry about "bad" cholesterol. So, pile on the raw dairy and eggs. Your body will thank you.

That's all there is to it.
