She died overnight on 9 November, apparently from a congestive heart failure that resulted from thromboembolism. Her husband and five year old daughter survive her.
'There was a lot of complications with paperwork when transporting the body out of Thailand and into Russia,' a family member told News.Ykt.ru website.
'This is why we it took us more than ten days after Svetlana's death to organise everything. It wasn't easy to process all the required documents.'
The crash is one of a number recently involving Russian tourists in Thailand, an increasingly popular destination.
One tourist was killed in the crash and 35 suffered injuries when it overturned in northwest Thailand. The bus was en route from Pattaya to Sai Yok district in the province of Kanchanaburi, when it overturned while descending a slope near Maha Wang Chang elephant village.
The bus driver, who was taken into custody for further investigation, was identified as Kasian Karaket, 53.
Archeologists discovered a new stone bracelet, two sharp pins, a marble ring and fox tooth pendants.
