A thief who broke into a flat was caught red-handed after the family cat alerted her owners. The 40-year-old man, whose name has not been revealed by police, sneaked into the ground-floor property through a window on Monday night.
While the owners slept in another room, the robber began gathering up clothes, a laptop, cell phone and other belongings into bags.
