The remains of an unidentified sea animal with fur on its tail have been washed ashore in the Far East. Found near the airport at Shakhtersk, on Sakhalin Island, its appearance is unlike anything ever found in Russia.

Judging from the remains the creature was giant and about twice the length of a human, and it had a huge nose like a bird’s beak.

Pictures of the carcass have created a stir on social media after being taken by local people and posted online.

Some have claim the remains belong to a Ganges River dolphin from India, because of the long body and narrow beak nose. Pictures: SakhalinMedia, ianimal.ru

Some have claim the remains belong to a Ganges River dolphin from India, because of the long body and narrow beak nose. But the presence of fur on the tail and also its size – twice that of the Indian dolphin species – has created a mystery.

Comments on some pictures on social media joke that the animal got lost and somehow made it to Russia. One wrote: 'Probably, our summer is so cold that even the Indian Dolphins getting into local waters, are covered with fur.'

But one expert insisted it simply is not possible for a fresh water Ganges dolphin to make it to the Far East, and survive in the salty ocean.

'I can confidently say that this is some kind of a dolphin. However, it has fur. It's unusual. Dolphins do not have any fur.' Pictures: SakhalinMedia

Nikolay Kim, Deputy Head of the Forecasting department of the Sakhalin Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography, said: 'Judging by the appearance of the head, this is clearly some big dolphin. According to a characteristic of the skin, it is a rare species.

'I doubt that it lived in our waters. Most likely, the animal was brought by the warm current. Here often appear tropical and subtropical species. On cooling, they stay here and then die.

It is a “chimera” deliberately created by the United States for military purposes and, therefore, poses a “heightened” security risk to the whole world! Did you see the Jurassic World movie? They have dropped a hint in the movie that the US military are trying to create genetically engineered animals that could be used as weapons...

What is truly interesting is that a number of creatures, normally unseen, deep water living, are beginning to surface around the world. What are we going to do when a LIVE one shows up? :0) Hopefully not do what people normally do and kill it so they can take a picture. Food for thought.

It's very hard to guess just by looking at poorly taken photos. No scientists can prove what animal is that just by looking at photos. First, the carcass is decomposing. The so-called fur could be something else decomposing. There has to be a conclusion whether the carcass has fur or not. Only then, they can start moving forward.

This looks like another casualty of the new, illegal and totally underwater type of Water-Demon cage-fighting that has become trendy with the disenfranchised mermaid youth lately. The special task force, set up by a second nephew of mighty Neptune himself (from his mom's side though), is having major problems finding them to crush their unworthy spines ! Incredibly, the event and venue disappear from one location in the nick of time, only to sprout once again elsewhere almost like a 90's rave.
But Water-Demons don't have fur, you say ? Mmmmm,

Scientists are idiots........ Do you think before your fingers move? Haha.
Clearly the people responsible for carbon dating and discovering cures to worlds diseases are morons.

To complete the argument of Damo we could add a quick reliable info about japanese whale hunting : http://www.itsnature.org/sea/aquatic-mammals/giant-beaked-whale/. And then the scenario seems to fit pretty well. Look at the second picture with the beaked whale being unskinned. Throw it off the fishing boat and let it rotten a little bit in the ocean and there you have your famous dinosaur/rare species/lochness monster. The Ocean is surely filled with misteries and unknown life forms still to be discovered, but the humans spirit is filled with even more imagination. Storytelling is powerful and it has always be a threat to what we call "Science" and "Knowledge".

It is a partial mastodon. The legs are missing, the head is pointing straight forward while the animal is on its side. The gaping stomach chamber is pointing out to see and we are seeing what would have been the top of its back.

The trunk remnant are straight out in front of it as is a tusk that would have been curved slightly towards its body, not out in front of it.

I have seen a creature out of this world, just like this in 2003 on the shores of a beach in Northern France in the City of Le Havre. It was not that big, maybe a meter and a half long, it had fur and huge fangs. It was like some animal we hear from old stories coming from a different realm. I bet the British know a thing or two about these extremely strange dead animals found all over the planet. We are going back into the times of dragons, witches and very bad people.....You will see.....
