By The Siberian Times reporter
13 January 2016

Study of 3.7 million people shows males in the region above norm but females only average

According to the study, average adult male height in Russia is 176-177 centimentres and female - 165 cm. Picture: Vera Salnitskaya

The research studied men aged 18 to 40 and women 18 to 30, in other words the range when the sexes are at their tallest.

According to the study, average adult male height in Russia is 176-177 centimentres and female - 165 cm. The tallest men live in the Siberian federal district and also the North-West federal district (178 cm).

But women in the Siberian federal district come out as exactly average in height. The research was conducted by a Ministry of Health research institute.

Considering the study is based on self reported figures, im going to doubt its validity.

178 cm isn't 5'8", it's 5 ft. and 8/10ths of a ft. not 8 inches lol. 178 cm is really ~5'10" which is fairly tall for a population average
