Beware rooftop avalanches, as young man is swept off the edge of 5-floor block

Two more cling on to a railing in an incident in Lensk, Sakha Republic, caught on video.

One fell all the way, the other two grabbed a safety rail preventing them falling to the ground. Picture: Crim Yakutia

One man was carried off the roof of a five-storey block  but survived after landing in a large pile of soft snow. He broke his leg, but nothing worse. 

The unnamed man and his friends had been employed to sweep snow from the roof of the apartment block.

But in the avalanche they all lost their footing and were swept away.
