The headless body of Artyom Shustov was found in a park in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the Russian Far East. Later Matsneva's boyfriend, 16 year old Nikita Rasskazov, a teenage kickboxer, confessed to the killing and was detained, said law enforcement sources.
Police subsequently recovered Shustov's head from the Silinka River. Now more details have emerged, with witnesses revealing a furious row over the girl at the park minutes before the beheading.

Shustov ran away but the 16 year old followed him, stabbing him in the back, it was reported. The pair fell on the ground and began to fight, with the younger teenager inflecting more knife wounds.
With Shustov badly wounded but evidently still alive, Rasskazov 'started to cut off his head with the knife'. He 'took the severed head by the hair, put it in a garbage bag, and then into a backpack. 'He dragged the body to another part of the park and put Artyom's student papers on his chest.'
