A bear was seen close to fishermen on a Kamchatka bay, weeks after the species are usually hibernating. Locals saw the animal attack a seal.

The rescue service found the bear exhausted and perhaps it had failed to hibernate because of not finding sufficient food by autumn.

Head of the service Igor Titomir explained: 'We decided that a predator which does not hibernate is a real threat to people. This is especially so because in the bay, close to where it was repeatedly seen, citizens from Vilyuchinsk regularly fish.'

Rangers were called to shoot the animal, which turned out to be an adult male weighing around 300 kilograms.

Locals believe one more bear is roaming in the area, which has had less snow than usual, another possible cause of a failure to hibernate.

A driver filmed the running animal on a forest road. Wildlife experts say it is definitely a different bear, chubbier and younger than the one that was shot.

Kamchatka has some 18,000 brown bears, around 5% of the world's total population.

Many are protected from hunters and poachers in national reserves, but some 59 have been shot this year in Kamchatka, after posing a threat to people.

The bear did not have time to accumulate a sufficient amount of fat under the skin and can not sleep in the den until spring. In search of at least some food he walks through the woods. Sleep problems may have injured or sick bears are physically not able to find enough food.

Hunters killed the rod, sometimes found in his stomach roundworm seven to nine centimeters long. Naturally, the animal is a victim of the parasites could not get enough and feel fine. This disease is the most common reason that a bear wanders in the forest and does not sleep quietly until the spring. Poisoning toxins, worms provoke leanness of the animal, its weakness and excessive hunger.

This bear is not able to hunt wildfowl. To do this, he did not have enough skill and stamina. The main object of his attention becomes livestock.

He creeps closer to villages or forester's lodge. Hidden patiently waits for prey. Not had time to hide the shepherd too often fall victim.

The brown bear can knock out the window and chat to people. A huge paw he knocks the glass penetrates into the house and kill all those who will. Residents of potentially dangerous regions need to be alert and keep a loaded gun. Do not go out at night and store food waste in the yard, the smell of which may involve starving the beast.

Hunting for a bear-rod - it's not fishing, as a necessary measure. Any bear in winter sleep, represents a potential danger to people.

We decided that a predator which does not hibernate is a real threat to people. This is especially so because in the bay, close to where it was repeatedly seen, citizens from Vilyuchinsk regularly fish < and why it is the bear that must die? Why couldn't the humans move away from what it is actually his land?

So this bears behavior is an example of less food as humans influence nature. Sad to hear..
