As the scientists say, even Lyuba's 'smile is intact' as she ventures for the first time to Australia. The baby was aged no more than 35 days when she perished 41,800 years ago, and she was preserved in clay in the frozen Arctic.

Lyuba was found in 2007  by Yuri Khudi, a reindeer herder  in the upper reaches of Yuribey River.

She was named after Yuri's wife.

The baby beast is 85 cm tall, 130 cm long, and she weighs 30 kgs.

Lyuba's soft tissues, bones, internal organs are in an ideal condition.

Lyuba is set to beat her own long haul flight record travelling initially from her base in Salekhard to Sydney 6 November where she takes part in a 'Mammoths, The Giants of the Ice Age' exhibition.

Among other places, Lyuba has already been to 11 cities in America, plus London and Vancouver.

A team of Russian experts is travelling with Lyuba.

The baby mammoth will stay in Australia under May next year.

Usually where is its Museum of exhibition in the Russian Federation? Is it in the Moscow Museum of Archaeology?

I'd love to see Lyuba. Fascinating glimpse into the past.
