Passenger plane crashes moments after takeoff — video

The crash was caught on video as the plane failed moments after taking off from the airport in Naryan-Mar.

It rolled before diving towards the ground. 

'There were 13 people onboard, including 11 passengers and two crew members,' said acting regional governor Alexander Tsybulsky.

'Two people were killed and others are in hospital. 

'The tragedy occurred during takeoff.'

Later reports said four had died.

Two women and a five year old child were among the dead, according to reports.

The plane had been in service since the end of 2016. 

The main cause of the emergency was a technical malfunction that occurred during the initial climbing.

The plane appeared to spiral downwards.

Pictures from the ground show damage to the cabin with a detached wing. 

The crew 'could not cope' with the emergency', it was reported. 

The 40 year old pilot was experienced in Arctic aviation.
