Pensioner 'led paedophile ring that forced 20 girls from same village into under age sex'

The ma, not named because further cases are being investigated, paid the impoverished schoolgirls 100 roubles ($1.80) to buy their silence, say investigatorsn. 

He deliberately chose girls from poor families in his village of Partizanskoye - population 3,500 - in Krasnoyarsk region, it is claimed.

He is accused of working in collusion with three other men believed to be in the 38 to 40 age range. 

They have not been charged yet pending further investigations, and other men may face accusations of involvement in the paedophile ring. 

The 70 year old told the girls he was 'too weak' to look after his house, and paid them pocket money for cleaning. 

But on the third visit he 'forced girls into having sex with him' and then 'paid them to keep silent'.

It is unclear how many of the 20-plus girls he is accused of sexually abusing. 

The parents only discovered the truth from investigators: their daughters had not told them. 

The mother of one of the alleged victims knew that daughter was earning pocket money, but never suspected 'she earned it in this way'.

The man was shown in a police video saying: 'When the girls were about to leave me, I gave each of them 100 roubles. 

'I plead guilty and feel sorry for what I've done.'

A girl whose face was completely shaded said: 'I didn't talk to my parents because I was scared. 

'Six men between them paid them 1000 roubles ($17.80).
