Inspections have been ordered by regional governor Aman Tuleyev in kindergartens and schools after poisoning case. The bread was baked by major supplier Kemerovokhleb but it is unclear how  'some extraneous inclusions' which turned out to be dangerous rat poison came to be in the bread.

'Law-enforcement authorities together with the Russian consumer rights watchdog agency Rospotrebnadzor are investigating the case,' reported Itar-Tass.

'Sanitary inspectors are to check now the nutrition units in all schools and kindergartens where the product might have been supplied, along with other educational institutions in order to ensure their compliance with sanitary standards,' said a spokesman for the regional government.
