The woman behind the scheme Alena Temerova says she so far has two cats Masha and Klepa available for rent. The idea is help people who cannot have permanent pets, but who want to enjoy the pleasure they bring.
It might suit disabled people or the elderly.
The cost is 300 roubles for two hours - around $10.
'The service is for people who cant have pets for some reasons but wish to have a cat who will take their stress away,' said one report.
Temerova a member of a public organisation which supports homeless animals.
