On 17 November tourist Elena Pankratova, 25, lost two necklaces to thieves valued at ฿55,000 ($1,740).
They were snatched by a motorbike gang which accosted the woman as she walked with her husband and child to a hotel.
A few days later another female Russian tourist Irina Burika, 39, had her shoulder bag snatched by a motorbike gang while walking with her husband and her 5-year-old son.
The bag contained over ฿30,000 ($9500 including cash and other valuables, she reported to police.
She lost her iPhone in the attack.
Police is checking CCTV cameras in the areas where the attacks happened.
Archeologists discovered a new stone bracelet, two sharp pins, a marble ring and fox tooth pendants.
