Hilton Hotels is in negotiations with Yakutia about building its first hotel in Russia's coldest and largest federal region, said minister for investment development and entrepreneurship Anton Safronov in capital Yakutsk.
'The main issue in further tourism development in Yakutia is building hotels.
'We are currently in negotiations with Hilton. They want to invest here in Yakutia.'

Yakutia - officially known as the Sakha Republic - is the home of the Russia's diamond industry, and is also the source of most of the country's woolly mammoth remains.
There are hopes to boost tourism based on interest in the woolly mammoth, which scientists hope to bring back to life.
On 18 July Russian president Vladimir Putin signed federal law offering more favourable tax concessions for tourist and recreation activities in the Far Eastern Federal district.
'We will study the new law on zero profit tax for companies, but whichever way it goes this new mechanism will boost tourism and recreation in the Far East', said regional minister Safronov.
The zero profit tax rate will be given as a 5 year incentive to companies providing tourism services in all areas of the Far Eastern Federal District.
