The Thai Ambassador to Russia praised Siberian region for promoting Thai boxing and raising ‘true champions’ at a meeting with the governor's region Sergei Tsivilev.

Mr Wongsinsavat offered his help in organising sport exchanges so that young Muay Thai athletes from Siberia could travel to sport camps in Thailand.

The Siberian governor invited Thai boxers to use regional training facilities high in the mountains of the stunning Sheregesh resort.

The sides also discussed supply of Siberian coal to the Thai market by Kuzbass companies.

Currently the region exports 53 million tons of coal to Southeast Asia; with the development of the Eastern range of railways, Kuzbass will be able to increase it by 5 million tons annually.
