Prayut Chan-o-cha said joint work was needed to boost the industry at the Far Eastern Forum of Economics.

The Thai Prime Minister invited collaboration between the countries on new recommendations for safe tourism, vital for faster recovery of the industry.

‘We want to invite everyone to jointly recognise vaccine certificates to restore tourism in the near future.

For many, tourism is one of the key engines of economic development, and it has suffered greatly from the Covid-19 pandemic’, he said during a video message, shown at the Far Eastern Forum of Economics in Vladivostok.

Thailand tourism and health authorities were working on a step-by-step approach to allow vaccinated tourists to arrive in the country without going through a paid quarantine, Prayut Chan-o-cha said.
