Tragedy as boy, 4, sleepwalks to death in -20C cold

By The Siberian Times reporter
27 February 2018

Mother goes in search of Bogdan when she wakes at 6am, and finds he has wandered out of house in middle of night into fierce frost.

In the summer, the boy had several times wandered outside his house, sleepwalking.

Many children sleepwalk, but for Bogdan it was fatal.

The boy woke and managed to get out of his house in the village of Yaga in the Uzhursky district of Krasnoyarsk region.

The temperature outside was -20C, and he was wearing only light clothing, and no footwear.

His mother Maria, 27, woke at 6 am and was unable to find her son.

Then she saw that his tiny footprints in the snow went to a neighbour’s house.

Tragically, she found her son’s lifeless body on the neighbour’s veranda.

He had frozen to death.

Bogdan had no chance to survive in minus 20 degrees Celsius.

In the summer, the boy had several times wandered outside his house, sleepwalking.

But in winter, he had no hope of survival in the extreme cold.

An investigation has been launched into his tragic death.

Such a sad tragedy. My prayers and sorrow go with the family. Hopefully they can find comfort in John 5:28: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". John 5:28, 29. For Christ said: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life". John 11:25. He has "the keys to death and the grave." Rev. 1:28.

suppose there HAS to be an inquiry. but let's also hope that the mother will get a judge that has some brains, compassion and common sense. there is sorrow and pain enough already in this house. no need to add more.
