Two people die in helicopter crash in Yamal peninsula

The captain and second pilot got trapped inside Skol airline’s helicopter as it crash landed and turned upside down 500 metres away from Sabetta airport.

The helicopter with seven oil workers from Gazpromneft Geo, and three crew was en route from the village of Leskino to Sabetta when it got hit by a snow storm. 

All passengers and one crew member managed to get out of the helicopter, but the captain and the pilot who were trapped inside the cabin died before the rescuers arrived.
