Woman detained over bomb hoax at Irkutsk airport

Police hold 28 year old woman after 400 people were evacuated and one flight was delayed.

A criminal case was launched against the unnamed woman for giving 'deliberately false information about a terrorist act', said police. She claimed explosive were planted at the airport, it was reported. 

'All emergency services in the city were put on high alert. The police have evacuated around 400 people from the airport, moreover, one flight was delayed,' said a statement. 'No explosive devices were found in the search through the airport building and the adjoining territory.

'The police have detained a 28-year-old Irkutsk female resident in the search. 

'She confessed to the crime, but failed to explain the motives of her offence'.
