The film was made in minus 30C with no wind and fine weather by Novosibirsk extreme movie studio Creative Elements. Professional skier Dmitry Koval said: 'Last time we did this, we managed to accelerate up to 140 kph, but there was no opportunity to film it.'

This time the Subaru Outback gradually accelerated to 110 kph before stopping to check if Vitalyi was coping. He said he was 'cheerful'.

So they began again on a remote road between ski-resort Yurmanka and Novososedovo in Novosibirsk region, with occasional vehicles passing in the opposite direction. The normal speed limit here is 90 kph but there were no traffic police around.

Dmitry said: 'We are both very experienced skiers and trained many times in the way as we have shown on the video - over thousands of kilometres. Yet this time we've managed to film this thanks to ideal conditions both for the skier and the car. So it was not some spontaneous thing, we did it having big experience.
