So, it is not just China investing in the Russian Far East.
The name of the regions, as Deripaska said, should change from "Far East". It could be called just "Russian Pacific" or "Pacific Russia" "Rospacific", for example.
In 2015, Russia-China trade was just $ 95 bn. compared to $ 130 bn for Australia or $ 300 bn. to Japan....so there is still a long way.
The recent trade agreements signed between Russia and China are positive to short the gap with other countries.
