A hope for a wonder

Right now the tumour is so big it literally 'pushes' one of Anastasiya's eyes out

We continue working with a team of Siberian TV journalists, based in Barnaul, who are trying to help cancer-stricken children.

The television crew visit local clinics, and try to make dreams come true for these children. The channel's audience always respond by sending little gifts or messages to the clinic, or finding other ways to help.

Sometimes children cannot ask - but still desperately need help.

Anastasia, pictured here with her mother Natalya, is turning four in January. She has a huge brain tumour that keeps growing with alarming speed, damaging her eyesight and destroying her chances to survive.

The tumour can be removed by laser surgery and there are specialists in Moscow ready to perform it, but there is no free allowance left in the near future, and Anastasia needs help now.

Her distraught single mother cannot afford to pay for a private  operation, and the clock is ticking.

The surgery and air travel from Barnaul to Moscow costs 100,000 roubles - that is around $3,245, €2,490 or £2,000.

If you can - please help. And thank you.
