Private plane that belongs to one of the leading gold mining companies in Magadan region ’T Cement’ crash landed metres away from the runway earlier this morning.
The plane with 12 company workers was due to make a one-and-a-half hour flight to Seymchan, 450km north of Magadan.
It is unclear how many second the plane was in the air, as well as what caused the accident. Magadan Media news website reported that it AN-2 hit the ground at take off before making a bellyflop crash landing.

One person was reported to be in a grave condition, Magadan region health minister Sergey Chekanov said.
‘The ambulance was quick and professional. One of 14 evacuated victims is in grave condition, he is undertaking anti-shock therapy at the moment. All other injured passengers were checked by the doctors of our regional hospital. The number of doctors on duty has been increased’, he said.
The plane is reported to be 35 years old (maiden flight was made in 1985). Twelve passengers and two crew is its maximum capacity.
The plane is designed to carry some cargo as well as passengers.
Archeologists discovered a new stone bracelet, two sharp pins, a marble ring and fox tooth pendants.
