A schoolboy sparked a full scale police search after going missing after class – only to be found reading books in the library.

The seven year old failed to turn up at home at the end of the school day, with his concerned parents immediately alerting the authorities.

As officers trawled the area around the town of Bodaybo, in the Irkutsk region of Siberia, he was found safe and well looking through books in the local library.

Police said the year one pupil had become so interested in the reading material he 'lost count of time'.

Officers are now speaking to children in the area to prevent similar incidents in the future.

This reminds me of my times in the library, when my father would drop me off and let me browse and 'get lost' in books. I always found it more interesting to go to the back of the book and see how it ended and then go back to the beginning.

All Slavic children would be encouraged to read - instead of playing in the streets. Our childhood is so special and precious.

Happy ending for the "missing boy". Must congratulate the parents and/or teachers of this boy for raising and nurturing such a "reader". The love of reading is one of the best gifts that one can give to a child.

A small "bookworm" , ha ha ha .You couldn't ask for a better place for your child to be lost than in a Library, We all have at one time "lost" ourselves in a good book. And like a good book ,the last chapter ended with everyone living happily ever afterwards, A good news story,
