Pacific Fleet’s large anti-submarine ship on way back to base after first joint Russian-ASEAN drills

Planes and ships from seven ASEAN countries and Russia trained for three days in the South-Chinese Sea.

BOD Admiral Panteleev is on its way to base in Vladivostok, the Far East of Russia after participating in the first-ever joint naval exercises between Russia and the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), held off the coast of Indonesia.

Crews of ships and planes from Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei and Myanmar spent three days working on joint tactical manoeuvring, sea rescue and joint inspection of a suspicious vessel.
