Was it a social media stunt? A truck driver aims a heavy vehicle across an unattended bridge

The incident happened on a service side road leading to Bovanenkovo gas field in Yamalo-Nenets autonomous region. 

One of the the wooden bridge’s piers got washed away in a flash flood, but the driver still decided to cross it. 

Conveniently, there was a friend with a camera standing at the other end of the bridge, which prompted social media comments about it being a stunt. 

The bridge had not been maintained for a long time as there was another road close, by used by drivers who live and work in that area, said a representative of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The driver whose name and age were not reported was left unscathed. 

The bridge is not likely to be repaired, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
